Henry Nainggolan graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung and started his career as a Geophysicist in 2010. This man who was born in Batam started his career for local company in Jakarta.
During his career in Indonesia, he interacted and learned a lot of oil and gas sector, cable industry, marine engineering and infrastructure. It took him 7 years to work domestically and involved in various projects.
Early 2017, Henry decided to work abroad. The first time he joined a wind farm project in the Netherlands. He was assigned a Senior Geophysicist onboard the vessel to QC and process the survey data.
Within 5 years, Henry worked in several countries in UK and Europe such as Poland, France, Spain, and Germany. He was involved with various big survey companies such as Fugro, GEOxyz, Sulmara, Technoambiente, and Peak Processing Ltd.
Henry Nainggolan founded PT. Gema Sarana Teknik.

In 2023, PT. Gema Sarana Teknik completed the work of PT. Kapuas Bara Utama, namely mapping the mining area using PlanetScope satellite imagery with a resolution of 3 meters in Central Kalimantan.
In 2024, PT. Gema Sarana Teknik completed the work of PT. Berkat Bersatu, namely bathymetric mapping and side scan sonar in the planned area of the floating PLTS in Tembesi, Batam.
In 2025, PT. Gema Sarana Teknik received work from PT. Metro Nusantara Bahari, namely bathymetric mapping and determining the navigation buoy point at the Batam Center International Ferry Terminal.
In 2025, PT. Gema Sarana Teknik completed a project for Pertamina Refinery Unit 2 Dumai, which involved bathymetric mapping and Side Scan Sonar for the assessment and development of Jetty 1 and 2.
In 2026, PT. Gema Sarana Teknik completed Project for Anchor Block Positioning for Floating Solar Panel Development at Karangkates, Malang, West Java, contracted with PT. Berkat Bersatu.
In 2026, PT. Gema Sarana Teknik conducted a project for Marcopolo Shipyard Batam, which involved bathymetric survey services for the Seafront and Anchorage areas development, contracted by PT. Tristar Marine.
